Abstract
The word ‘آفاق ‘Aafaq is taken from Arabic Language, which means - world, universe, cosmos. The word ‘آفاق ‘is plural of the word ‘ ’ (Ufaq (افق which means sky / Heaven. The word Afaqi is Adjective of the word Afaq which means universal / cosmopolitan. It is a term which is relevant not only to literature but as well to art. The artistic work of any artist is not restricted as art knows no boundaries marked in this world by states, governments or countries. The message of universality reaches every nook and corner of the world. The creative power of a universal art work enlightens and inspires internationally. When we view the various poetic genres of Imdad Hussaini in the perspective of universality, we see that their reach and composition is beyond any discrimination of cast, colour or creed. The sun which rises from the horizon of study and observation of his work illuminates the whole universe. It is man (and only man) that is the central figure of Imdad’s poetry. Man can be the victim of exploitation in any part of the world - Palastine, Kashmir, Lebanon, Congo, America. We see the pen of Imdad protesting against all kinds of exploitation and victimization be it any part of the world. Imdad Hussaini shall be known as one of the greatest poets around the world if his works were translated in other languages and presented to the world.
