Abstract
Translation is an important linguistic and creative action. Tradition of translation can be found out in the different languages of literary world. Urdu Language and Literature is also embellished with the tradition of translation. Its initial literary work is standing on the foundation of translation. To promote Urdu translation, Urdu magazines played a key role. So when in May 1929 Monthly "ADBI DUNYA" was published then along with other genres, translations were also published, in which both type of genres i.e. poems and prose included. It was the main objective of the propagation of "Adbi Dunya" to transfer the literature of developed languages into Urdu. In "Adbi Dunya" the literary genres which were introduced are Fictions, Dramas, Essays, Poems and Songs. All the published translations took part an important role for the betterment and expansion of Urdu language and literature. Due to these translations Urdu literature has become a good capitalist among the treasures of all other developed languages. In perspective of Fun and Technique Urdu Fiction improved. Urdu poetry also got liberty from unnatural restrictions. Resultantly, now Urdu language has tremendous capability to represent every type of academic and literary concepts.
