Ecologically, Baluchistan holds the twin character, though geographically linked with Central Asia, it is politically attached with South Asia. Strategically energetic port of Gwadar on the Makran Coast with strong connection to the Strait of Hormuz placed on its southern part has highlighted its geopolitical value in the regional as well as in the world arena. Baluchistan’s landmark unique position depends on its size, largest coastal line and its lying under the lines of Mackinder’s rim land. (Wassan, 2008: 118). The development of Gwadar Port as energetic regional economic core has triggered the regional and intra-regional powers to grow strategic development with Gwadar Port to reach & influence Iran, Dubai and the energy rich Central Asian Republics (CARs).
