Abstract
A deep analysis of the teachings of all religions as a whole reveal that they are based on love to human beings. It is so, because the propagation of religious thought cannot be carried out unless man is loved. Love to humanity is the essence of all religions. The whole mankind shares genetic unity being the sons or daughters of Adam and Eve (peace be upon them). They resemble one another in form have a sense of their rights and like to live in a society. Difference of opinion is natural to them but a sound solution of their disputes is in mutual harmony and dialogue. This has been the way of Allah Almighty and His Prophets. Man’s viceregency on Earth is the outcome of a dialogue. The remedy of all contemporary issues among individuals and nations surely lies in interfaith harmony through dialogue conducted and propagated at greater levels. This article aims to discuss the importance of interfaith harmony, lenience and dialogue in the present era in the light of holy Quran and Seerah of the holy Prophet (peace be upon him).
