Abstract
Field experiment was conducted to determine the response of different levels of nitrogen and phosphorus on the fodder yield of an oat variety `S.2000' during the year of 1999-2000 to 2000-2001. The treatments were control, 40-28, 52-56,64-28,76¬56,88-56 and 100-56 kg N and P2 05 All fertilizers were applied at the time of sowing. The results revealed that green fodder and dry matter yields were influenced significantly by the application of fertilizers.. Maximum green fodder and dry matter yield of about 62 and II t ha"' was harvested with the application of 100-56 followed by 88-56 NP kg ha-1 which yielded 61.3 and 10.7 t green fodder and dry matter, respectively. These treatments were also found most profitable for the fodder growers as maximum net income i.e. Rs.126241- and Rs.125511- was obtained compared to control giving net income of Es.4436 hanl
