Abstract
Girami was Iqbal's one of intimate friends. His moral credibility, poetic genius, extraordinary retentive abilities and critical mind influenced Iqbal. He would give special importance to his advice in his Persian poetry. Girami was appointed as poet in the court of Nizam Daccan Mir Mahboob Ali Asif Jah. The ninety letters of Iqbal to Grami are available till now. When Iqbal turned to Persian poetry to make his thought universal he found no other than Girami to be a man of incomparable abilities and insight in the persian poetry to be a better adviser. In this essay not only their close relationship is encompassed through their correspondence but Iqbal's seeking of his advice in poetry is also highlighted. Besides the available copies of the letters are matched with the collection of Iqbal's letters in order to point of errors
