Abstract
Dr. Jamil Jalbi is well known Urdu critic, researcher, historiographer, linguist and translator. He has translated many books but his four books of translation have got immense response from students and critics. This article is an overview of his works of translation, which contributed to spread the main critical thoughts of western critics and promoted the culture of translation among scholar and critics
