Abstract
Training of teachers to teach Urdu as second language and design of its syllabus in Pakistan is an important topic. In our educational system teaching of language specially native and National language has not given its due importance. Having trained teachers to do the job is not considered necessary at Primary School Level, whereas at secondary school level people will master's degree in the respective language are preferred for teaching the language. In Education system of Sindh province the student whose mother longue is Sindhi taught Urdu as second language in 10th class Similarly in Cambridge international Examination system the students of this region have to opt Urdu as a second language in their Examination. This paper discusses the ways to develop the syllabus of Matric and O level to teach them and training of teachers to teach languages. This paper also highlights the possibilities of designing a system where universities help in training of School's linguistics teachers.
