Abstract
Macro and micmnutrient status of citrus was determined by analyzing leaves and associated soils front 34 orchards of Saigodha, 41 ofSahiwal and 34 of Faisalabad district. Almost all oirhaids of Saigodha, 63% of Sahiwal and 88% of Faisalabad contained marginal to deficient Zn content. However, this widespread Zn deficiency indicated that international criteria may not be p/vcisely appmpiiate for the local data. Potassium was deficient in 29( /c oivhards of Sargodha, 12% ofSahiwal and 6% of Faisalabad. Copper was inadequate in 6% orchards of Saigodha and 9% of Faisalabad. Nutritional status for Fe was not deteimined in this extensive investigation. However, a sepamte study revealed Fe deficiency in the citrus orchard.
