Abstract
Effect of applied P and Zn on the yield and nutrient uptake by flooded rice was studied in field and pot experiments. Phosphorus application along with Zn generally increased grain yield and dry matter yield and total Zn uptake by rice plants. Higher rate of P application without Zn decreased Zn concentration but had variable effect on total Zn uptake by plants. The causes of such P-Zn interaction has been reviewed and discussed.
