Abstract
The study waa carried out in an area of 0.4 ha of saltnc-aodic loam soil, having pHs. BCe and SAR from 9.2 to 9.8. 9.3 to 20.9 (dSm1 ) and 49.8 to 129.4, respectively at Mona Reclamation Experimental Project. Rice-wheat crop rotation was followed with recommended doses of fertilizers in combination with four doses of zinc sulphate viz. 0, 10, 20 and 40 kg ha"1 . The ECe and SAR were significantly affected by different treatments, being significantly higher in treatment 1 than those with all other treatments which were statistically similar. ECe and SAR at different sampling times differed significantly. Different treatments affected paddy and wheat grain yield significantly and. in general, maximum yield was found with 20 kg ha zinc sulphate in addition to recommended doses of fertilizer. The increase in paddy and wheat grain yield, on an average was 30. 92. 54 and 14. 55. 46 per cent with 10. 20 and 40 kg ha"' zinc sulphate respectively compared to that from control plots. The efficiency of treatments In increasing the crops yield was in the order of:T-3T-4T-2T-l.
