Abstract
Boron tolercnce in six rice varieties was studied in a pot culture experiment. The tolerance was related to varietal efficiency for B uptake and to their B requirement. Variety Basmati-3711 was most tolerant followed by Basmati-385, Jhona-349, NR-I, IR-6 and DM-25. Plant tolerance of B was not associated with their Ca content or Ca/B ratio.
