Abstract
Six types of haemocytes were found in the haemolymph of Lucilia euprina. These were prohaemocytes, plasmatocytes, podocytes, vermiform cells, granular cells, and spherule cells. Prohaemocytes were of two distinct sizes and were accordingly divided into two subtypes : microcytes and macrocytes.
