The article explores how mass media can play a role in bringing
awareness about the rights of disabled people in Bangladesh. In the
light of models for studying mass media representation of rights of
the disabled and related policies, the study attempts to unfold the
interrelationship between mass media, society and persons with
disabilities. It proposes a participatory conceptual model for the
rights and policies of disabled people in Bangladesh
