Abstract
The development of an individual's character is a multifaceted process influenced by various factors, among which social attitudes play a pivotal role. This analytical study delves into the significance of social attitudes in character building, drawing insights from the teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah, the two primary sources of guidance in Islam. Understanding the impact of societal behaviour on shaping an individual's conduct, attitude, and moral compass is crucial. Through an examination of Islamic scriptures and principles, this study aims to highlight how social attitudes, as outlined in the Qur'an and Sunnah, contribute to the moulding and refinement of an individual's character. The teachings and examples provided in these religious texts offer valuable guidance on fostering positive social attitudes that lead to cultivating virtuous character traits, emphasising empathy, compassion, justice, and integrity. This exploration underscores the intrinsic relationship between social attitudes and character development, offering a deeper understanding of these attitudes' role in shaping individuals within the framework of Islamic teachings.
