Abstract
Although Syed Manzoor Haider’s name remained concealed among literary circles yet he was a versatile, competent poet and a promising translator. He translated the Iranian thinker Dr. Abdul Karim Sarosh’s the Persian treatises by the name of‘Takamul-e-Fehme Bashri which he entitled under total twelve sub titles. These treatises are taken out of Abdul Karim Sarosh’s compilations namely “Bast Tajrba Nabvi, Ilmul Kalam Jadid”and“Taryak Shariat." This translation was different from the traditional one. By getting advantages out of social and scientific knowledge, its purpose was the writer’s perception of religion to people in a simple and understandable language. He also translated Fazal-Ullah Zia Noor’s compilation“Wahdat al Wajood and Iqbal’s verse comprising compilation“Pas Che Bayad Kard" with artistic taste and compilation. The way he did this work through his artistic capabilities, can never be forgotten.
