Abstract
Soon after the creation of Pakistan, the political, social and economic problems faced by the country stayed almost the same even later. These problems eventually led the country to the wars of 1965 and 1971. These two wars shook the nation terribly. In the war of ’65, the nation showed great enthusiasm, but towards ’71 people went disappointed, melancholic and sad. These wars greatly influenced our poetry and prose, especially; the short story writers received deep impact and manifested their grief in their creative literature. They presented the subject of war in different ways. The paper under study, explores the effects of these wars on the short stories based on the theme of these two wars.
