Abstract
This Article throws light on the life and poetry of famous Baloch poet: Faiz
Bakhsha Puri (1926 - 14 May 1992), resident of: Bakhsha Pur, near Kashmore,
Sindh Pakistan; who composed his four poetical works: "Shola e Ishq" (18
January 1958), "Khumkhana e Faiz" (05 May 1967), "Ganjina e Faiz" (January
1981) and "Sar Chashma e Faiz" (July 1989); all later published in one volume
as "Kuliat e Faiz" in 2010. The unique poetry of Faiz Bakhsha Puri is in five
languages: Sindhi, Urdu, Persian, Balochi and Jatki. Keeping in view of his
distinguished poetry, he was awarded the title of "Ghalib e Sindh", on the good
name of top class classic Urdu Poet: Mirza Asad u Allah Khan "Ghalib" of Delhi
(27 December 1797 - 15 February 1869) and later awarded "Presidential Award"
by the Government of Pakistan. This article briefly analysis the poetry of Faiz
Bakhsha Puri in the context of his famous book: "Khumkhana e Faiz" (Tavern
of Faiz)..
