Abstract
Dr. Tabassum Kashmiri is known as a critic, researcher and historian. But the
most important aspect of his personality is his creativity. He started poetry in
1958 and so far he has published five poetry books. He is considered as an
important poet of the form of poetry which was introduced in decade of 60s.
His poetry is his journey of his self which starts and ends at his own self. But
this journey is still incomplete. The agony of creativity can be easily felt in his
poetry. He speaks to the colors of nature, hears the sounds of birds and discusses
as life in its true shape
