Abstract
Allama Muhammad Iqbal's lectures were translated for the very first
time by Syed Nazir Niazi. The translation was published under the title of
"Tashkeel-e-Jadeed Ilahiyat-e-Islamia". This paper offers an analysis of the
translation of Nazir Niazi. The study reveals that he used eloquent,
intellectual and philosophical language. The sense of meanings of the
original vocabulary is prominently evident. This most important intellectual
effort of translation was made with great research and depth, however, the
usage of Arabic and Persian terms made this translation difficult. In
nutshell, the philosophical understandings of Nazir Niazi's translation with
Iqbal's thoughts and ideology make it useful. Being the first effort its
importance is like laying first stone.
