Abstract
So many books are there on ideological analysis of Allama
Muhammad Iqbal's poetry and philosophy but the technical characteristics
of the great poet have always been neglected or ignored as he himself
mentioned it in one of his private letters that may be he is not a poet in
literary terminology, but as we see he is a great poet in both means I.e
ideology and techniques of poetry.
This article specifically emphasises on the efforts of Professor Jabir Ali
Sayyed in which he found all the technical qualities of allama's poetry.
The nature of jabir's analysis on iqbaliyaat is one of such a type that he
presented prominently the technical characteristics of iqbal's poetry through
practical criticism and it possesses an important place in the essence of
iqbaliyaat's criticism, so in this article it has been tried to preserve this
critical essence after highlighting it.moreover the critical analysis and
research findings are presented alongwith the controversies of the
contemporary critics.
