Abstract
Altaf Hussain Hali has influenced Urdu literature in different aspects.
A good poets and prose writers have been influenced by Hali's literary
works. Allama Iqbal, a great poet of Urdu and Persian, was also inspired by
Hali, especialy by his masterpiece Musadass-e-Mado Jazre Islam. We can
trace Hali's inspiration in the poetry of Iqbal overall and especially in his
famous poems ''Shikwa'' and ''Jawabe Shikwa''. This article deals with this
inspiration and it is traced in Iqbal's poetry and especially in his poems
reffered above.
