Abstract
Researchers and Critics claim that the first Reportage written in Urdu
is Molvi Iqbal ali . He Published his first Reportage in 1884. Some are saying
that Sajjad Zaheer is the first, who published his Reportage on the title:
yadian in 1935 and others are saying that Kirshan Chander is the first who
published his Reportage on the Title: Poday in 1946. In this article the above
claim has been proved as a misconception on the part of these researchers.
Further, this article presents sufficient materiel to claim Altaf Hussain Hali
as the first Reportage in Urdu. Who wrote his Reportage published by; Ali
Garh Institute Gazette in 1880.
