Abstract
While collecting data for my PhD research from different government and private collections across 'he country, I had an access to the few stone sculp'ures depicting mukhalingas com- ing from divergent areas Of Pakistan. They are delimited to sites located in rhe geographical confines Of Northwest (i.e. rhe present NWFP and rhe northern Punjab). Chronologically. they range from third/fourrh to ninth/tenrh Centurres CE marking different stages in the development of mukhalihgas. The work in hand purs these Sivaire cult obju-ts together for further artistic and iconographic investiga,'ions Of scholars.
