Abstract
This paper presents a historical review of the study of `Mathnavi Rumi (1204-1273) in Sindh’, (Pakistan) from the first eminent Poet Qazi Qadǎn
(D: 958 H) to the last eminent poet Qadir Bakhash `Badil’ (D:1289 H).
This study highlights the strong spiritual rela3on between `Mathnavi`
of Rumi and the scholars and Sufi Saints of Sindh, from 10th century Hijri to
13th century Hijri. The majority of Sindhi Sufi Saints and classical poets was
influenced by the teachings of the `Mathnavi of Rumi.’
