Abstract
This research article is about the role of Dr. Surriya Ahmad in the restoration movement of the status of Punjabi language in the province of Punjab. She was the founder Chairperson of Punjabi Department in Lahore College for Women University,Lahore. This article critically defines her role in the promotion of Punjabi language and literature in schools, colleges and universities at educational,social, political and published books , articles and research papers have been analyzed.
