METHODOLOGY OF SHAIKH ALTUSI IN “AL-TIBYAN”
Abstract
The great interpretation of the Holy Quran "Al-Tibyan" is the first
comprehensive Shiite interpretation by Abu Ja'far Muhammad Ibn
Hasan Al-Tusi who is known as the leader of Al-Imamiya. Al-Tusi has
not only confined himself in this book to the collection of
interpretational traditions but has also done analysis and ijtihad by
himself. In this interpretation, in addition to researching the
traditions of the fourteen infallibles and the Companions of the
Prophet, he has also recorded the opinions and thoughts of the
commentators before him. In this article, while discussing the
method of "Al-Tebiyaan" interpretation, it is stated that Sheikh
Tusi's method is comprehensive as well as has a theological taste.
