Allah has instructed humans to deliberate upon
Quran and to seek guidance and counsel from it. Allah has
further instructed humans to use their mind and
understanding in interpretation of Quranic texts, and
humans do interpret Quran in the shape of deductions and
inferences. But those exegesis of Quran in which
interpretation has been done contrary to rules of exegesis
and Arabic language or Quran, or Hadiths of the Holy
Prophet and sayings of the Companions of the Holy prophet
are nothing else but misguidance and distraction from the
right path.
Those interpretative singularities which are not
against the exegesis of Quran but are contrary to the
practices of the Companions of the prophet have no value
either. Its effects will have a positive outcome if difference
and anomalies in its implementation are avoided and if a
balanced approach is adopted in this regard. This approach
in the interpretation of Quran contrary to the established
rules and norms has made it unreliable for the interpreters
of Quran. When such an interpreter consults Quran for
guidance then they will definitely take in to account whether
the instructions are according to the will of Allah or are
mere concoctions of the distractors of the religion.
Similarly, those singularities also pose a problem in
understanding Quran and its injunctions which have relied
solely on lexicon without consulting the receiver of the
injunctions. Therefore, Allah not only revealed Quran on
the Holy Prophet, but also gifted him the capability to
interpret the injunctions of the holy book. Therefore, I
intend to analyses the effects of interpretative singularities
in understanding Quran in this research paper
