Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Yaqoob Sharrudi, also known as sheikh sharrudi;
born 1930- 2007) was a religious saint, preacher, researcher, mystic and imam. In
this research paper the works of Sheikh Sharrudi are elaborated in a sophisticated
manner, His numerous works were written in Brohvi and Balochi and then translated
into Urdu, Arabic, pashtu and many other languages. He had not only worked for the
renaissance of Islam but also propagated the “true Islam", a remedy for the weakness
from which Islam had suffered over the centuries. He believed that dawat o tableegh
was essential for Islam and it was necessary to institute sharia and preserve Islamic
culture from the evils of secularism, nationalism. He has published booklet versions of
lectures on quran and science, fiqh, Balochi literature, and many others books on
eminent issue. Although! he has publicly disclaimed sectarianism in Islam.
