Tafseer Marif-ul-Quran and Tafseer Zia-ul-Quran are contemporary interpretations of the Holy Quran. Their writeres have mentioned the events in their books on the basis of their intellectual ability. Some of the events of the life of the Holy Prophet (SAW) are mentioned in the Holy Qur'an. The Battle of Ahzaab took place against the Jews of Madina. Three of their tribes Banu Quraiza, Banu Nazeer and Banu Qeenqa’a were living in Madina for a long time. According to some of the historical narrations; they transferred from Palestine to Madina as their scholars said that the last Prophet (SAW) will come here. But after the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) came in the family of Ismail instead of Ishaaq, they started enmity with him and they never missed a chance to overpower Islam. Here in Madina, they always involved in conspiracies against Islam and Muslims and especially the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). In the Battle of Khandaq (the muslims dug a trench around the city of Madina for defense, due to their less number against the enemies), the Jews helped the enemies of the Muslims and tried to put them in trouble. Soon after the victory of Muslims in the Battle of Khandaq, Allah ordered the Muslims to fight against the Jews and expel them from the city of Madina. The event of Ahzaab is discussed in details by different interpreters of the Holy Quran. This research paper discusses this event in the light of two interpreters i.e; Maulana Muhammad Idrees Kandahlawi (D:1974) who leads the Deoband school of thought and Pir Karam Shah Al-Azhari (D:1998) who leads the Baralvi school of thought. Here a research and a comparative analysis is presented so that the common and different views of them come before us.
