Hari Dilgir is one of the most famous modern Sindhi poets. He is said to be the pioneer of writing geet in poetry in his own peculiar manner. Dilgir gave a feministic colour to Sindhi geets. In his pre and post partition geets, feelings of "wistfulness and sanguinity" are deeply absorbed. Dilgir was an important poet and a contemporary of Bewas. Dilgir, like Bewas, coloured romanticism in his own peculiar way of poetry. He did several experiments from artistic point of view in his early Dohas. On the one hand, he wrote Dohas in line with Doha Chand, while on the other hand he also wrote Dohas on the another format, Matark Chand, by doing experiments in it. Among the modern Sindhi poets, Bewas and Dilgir established new traditions of art and thought. He made popular in Sindhi poetry the forms like Triolet. Melodical charm, attraction and fascination found in Dilgir's style carries away his readers. He also experimented writing "Nazam Proli" and introduced new traditions of art and thought in Sindhi poetry
