Susceptibility of eight wheat varieties viz., Pak-81, Punjab-81. Blue Silver, Chakwal-86. Kohinoor-83, FaisaIabad-83, Barani-83 and LU-26 wus studied in a pot culture experiment. Varieties Pak-81 and Faisalabad-83 were not found susceptible to B deficiency due to their higher efficiency for exploitation of native soil B while Chakwal-86 and Barani-83 avoided deficiency due to their low B requirement. Rest of the varieties. Punjab-81, Blue Silver, Kohinoor-83 and LU-26 were susceptible due to their poor efficiency for the uptake of native soil li.
