Allama Shibli Naumani got his education and formal training under
the patronage of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan where he became master in oriental
and western sciences. He observed western culture very closely and after he
made up his mind to save Muslim Ummah from evil impacts of this
civilization through all of his faculties of pen and personality. After that,
what ever he rendered and wrote, it carried oriental traditions and values.
Through History, biography, Criticism, research and poetry like genres ,
Allama Shibli Naumani criticized very strictly all that is related to western
mentality, its culture and civilization. He represented oriental culture and
civilization, literature and conventions.
