Abstract
Al-Sayyed Siddique Hassan Khan Al-Qanuji is a figure in the world
of knowledege. He was the most learned fellow and a well known scholar
of the sub-continent. He was born at Braili. He got his early education at
his home town and the higher education from the most learned teachers
and well known scholars of Tafseer, Hadith, Islamic Jurisprudence,
Morphology, Syntax, Lexicograpyhy etc. He travelled from one country to
another to complete his religious education. He wrote hundreds of books in
Arabic, Urdu and Persian on various topics. Moreover, he compiled such
reference books that are recognized as the best ones all over the world
