Analytical Study of “Qaid” A Novel by Abdullah Hsusain
Abstract
Abdullah Hussain (1931-2015) is considered as one of the
prominent Urdu novelists of the20thcentury. His first novel
“UdasNaslain” (1963) received by critics and readers as the
most awaited creative expression of Urdu language in the
genre of Novel. With this huge reception, Abdullah Hussain
contributed in by writing all kinds of novel and short stories
for the rest ofhis life. This proposed article is focused on the
two aspects of Abdullah hussain’s novel “Qaid”, i.e one is the
social and religious imprisonment of people in the
mechanized system and patterns of monasteries ,in whose
followers not only the illiterate but also the highly educated
people are included .These so.-called religious peer exploit
people only for increasing their wealth and property in one
way or the other. Secondly in this proposed article, not only
the exploitation of people by the feudalistic system is being
criticized but also theoverall political, bureaucrate and social
system of Pakistan. This also focused on those complicated
issues which are created due to love in an exemplary manner.
All the characteristics of a good novel are present in the best
possible manner.
