Abstract
The matrimonial life of holy prophet is the real and actual reflection of
his conduct and character with all the other aspect of his (S.A.W.W.) life.
The man regarded as most honorable in society is not considered as most
respectable in his family. Anyhow if we judge the conduct of holy prophet
in this regard we find that he is still a leader and a man worth-following.
His matrimonial life was a complete model of Social harmonic relation.
No only He (S.A.W.W.) followed the principal of harmonic relation but
also schooled his followers on this topic. He said: The best among ye is
the one who deals good with his wife and I am the best among you with
them. This is the same practical model as is described in the Holy Quran
as the basis of matrimonial life under the comprehensive title of Muashrat
bilma’ruf. After the Nuptials the couple are responsible to live a life in a
very captivating manner. In this they care for each other’s emotions and
sensations, and do not breach one or the others feelings, the respect of
each other’s rights, the performing of one’s connubial duties and avoiding
mental and physical torcher. Today, the conjugal system in Pakistani
society is dwindling to destruction due to its digression from the Quranic
doctrines of Muashrat bil Ma’ruf and its clauses as mentioned in Hadith.
The obvious results of deviation for the doctrine seem to be the strife of
unnecessary superiority and domination between the better halves,
carelessness in bringing up the offspring in right direction, and negligence
in regard of the elders. The following article narrates the concept of social
harmonic relation and its applications in connubial system in the Islamic
concept.
