Abstract
Altaf Sheikh is a highly popular and celebrated travelogue writer of
Sindhi language. Not only in Sindhi but he has written several travelogues in
Urdu language as well. He is a popular columnist and writer of both the languages. He also has more than a hundred translations to his credit and his
translation writing style is quite unique from his contemporary writers.
It is his unique style that became the reason behind his immense popularity amongst the readers and in this paper a critical study of his travelogues
has been undertaken in order to prove the literary importance of his writing
and also to highlight the reasons for his popularity among the readers.
