Shah Latif is the poet of international stature. His poetry
is much closer to the life and living patterns of poor and down
trodden people.
In this paper, the Sociology, Economy and Living patterns
of a famous tribe of Sea-Farers, the people who are dwelling on
the banks of River as well as Ocean, has been depicted. The account of the life and the ways of earning, expending and living
though in poverty, but at heart, they are bold, brave and happy in
whatever the hard ways of life they linger on. Those conditions
and patterns have been made more vivid, by quoting from the
‘Surs’ of Shah Latif, which have enhanced the beauty and elegance of the above tribe of Sea-farers.
