Abstract
Globalization is basically an extension of western
philosophical thought processes. It has three
dimensions; Economic, Political and Cultural. Mass
media mislead the people and projected only its
economic profile. But as the Global Trade and
Financial activity multiplied as Foreign Direct
Investment, the TNCs emerged as corporate empires
and foreign consumer goods flooded local Markets.
Tourism and Immigration enhanced due to fastest
means of travelling, communication and money
transfer facilities. The economies of nation states
got improved due to introduction of markets
consumer economy. But the Nation states felt
threatened and desperately strived for sovereignty
and not local markets performance. The Free trade
favored only highly industrialized countries and
tuned NICs and LDCs into Raw material providers
rather than manufacturers and producers. This
paper introduces the Political, Economic and
Cultural dimensions of Globalization and
introduces the real face of Globalism.
