Abstract
The scholar of Islam are providing their services
for knowledge and wisdom from very initial days
either in JamiaNzamia of Baghdad, centers of
Wisdom in Kuffa, Haroonur Rashid’s official
treatment centers (medical centers) or in the
constructional masterpieces of Architecture or
engineers of Spain. They have been acknowledged
and celebrated in all over the world and the present
world generally and the sub-continent specifically
seems to be the outcome of their intellectual
evolution. As for as the knowledge of Architecture
is concerned, this story is incomplete without
mentioning TajMahal standing gorgeously at the
conjunction of Ganga and Jamna, the Qutub
minaret clotting up besides the Delhi Fort, the Red
Mosque of Delhi and the Badshahi Mosque Lahore.
The same is the case with the archeology,
geography and if there is requirement to give this
intellect to the public the scholars of Sub-continent
cannot be ignored within this historical travel and
without them the story of nourishment of knowledge
seems losing its essence.
The present article is part of this historical
account which attempts to remind that there was a
time when the knowledge seekers in the Islamic
schools (madaris) were at the peak of knowledge
and wisdom and their contemporaries were eager to
have a glimpse of them, but today in these
Madaristhe similar personalities are rare. The personality of our concern here is one of the
fantastic aspects of this golden story. When the
heritage of Muslims was being shifted to the
libraries of England and the Muslim youth, ignorant
of the disastrous future, was becoming weary. In
these circumstances an intellectual of Masjid and
Madrisa Imam Ahmed Raza took the responsibility
to update the knowledge which was taken away
from the Ummah. If we study profoundly the
writings of our personality of praise, it is obvious
that the intellect and knowledge which was the glory
of Muslims were serving the passions of knowledge
in the libraries and academic laboratories. And in
the Indo-Pak sub-continent even in the whole world
there was no such personality who could speak for
these knowledge and Science. In this phenomenon in
the writings of Imam Ahmed Raza there are not only
discussions on Physics, Mathematics, philosophy,
logic, medicine, algebra, logarithm, geometry but
also these discussion were renewed and were up to
date. The present article looks into these discussions
and tries to measure the expertise of him. Moreover,
his perspective will be compared to the
contemporary ideologies. At the end the discussion
is furnished with its contributions, conclusions and
advantages.
