In the recent era, the western thinkers have been
blaming the Muslims of upholding slavery. They are
of the opinion that Islam has propagated this
inhuman conception. They have ignored the reality
that only Islam has helped to with draw the slavery
and ensured all the fundamental rights of this
apprised class. Islamic rules and regulations with
subject to slavery are quite different to those which
were exercised by the earlier Greeks and Romans.
In this article we have tried to bring in forth the real
status and scope of slavery in light of Islamic
teaching.
