Abstract
Rashid Ahmad has written a book called( Da pukhto novel sal kala) Pashto Novel 100
Years, in which an attempt has been made to prove that Noor Mohammad Taraki was the first
Pashto novelist instead of Rahat Zakheli,. In this article, Rashid Ahmad's claim has been refuted
in the light of strong arguments and modern research principles and it has been proved that
Rahat Zakheli is the first Pashto novelist.
