Abstract
Aim of this research was to study relationship between principals’
leadership styles (PLS) and teachers’ organizational commitment
(TOC) with moderating role of emotional intelligence (EI) and
perceived organizational support (POS). 50 principals and 300
teachers were selected as sample of the population. Random and
convenient sampling technique was used for data collection. It was
found that democratic leadership style was dominant leadership style
of principals. A significant relation was found between leadership
styles and organizational commitment. It was concluded that emotional
intelligence and organizational support significantly moderate
relationship between leadership style and organizational commitment.
It was also declared that there was significant difference in the
responses of teachers regarding organizational commitment and
organizational support. Private school teachers were more committed
to teaching and public school teachers were more committed to
institution and profession.
