Abstract
In this research paper of –biography and its types in Arabic
literature, I have reached to the following results:
1: The art of writing biography is an old-new type of literature
which have seen many changes, because the old Arabs knew it
from the age before Islam. This means that biography is not a new
thing in Arab literature but it is an old known type of literature.
2. The art of writing biography seen many developments by
passage of time therefore it was not confined in the biography of
writers and historians it appeared in many literary forms like
diaries, and took many personal and psychological features and
there were different forms of biography art like auto biography and
altruism biography and it has many subjects of biography and not
many social and political aspects but all aspect of life.
