Current educational agony and its solution in the light of Serat-e-Tayyabah

Abstract

Education is an integral part of society. No one can deny its importance and significance. As it is the most important tool to build a civilized nation. And it is the reason that Islam always emphasized on the education of its inhabitants, and sent prophets to teach the people of their ages. But Muhammad (PBUH) is the only Prophet whose teachings are for all the ages and to all the nations till the day of judgement. But unfortunately, the followers of Prophet (PBUH) have forgotten the true teachings, so are entangled in the social, ethical, cultural and religious crises. These problems are just because of the wrong ways that are being adopted. There are some vital areas that need much attention and ownership. In this regard government and community should pay their role in this regard. There should be uniform educational system irrespective of the class, colour and creed based upon the national integration as well as humanity. There should an education system having the same curriculum comprises of the true teachings of Islam having a focus on peace, prosperity, progress and stability. Cramming should not be promoted among the pupils but instead they should be invited to seek the knowledge and wisdom. So, this article throws light on important issues and the solutions to handle the situation and promotes one type of an ideal education system based on the methodology given by Prophet (PBUH)
