Abstract
Shaikh Ayaz is a darling and immortal poet of Sindh. He has earned a high place amongst the literary and poetic lyricists of not only Sindh but all over the country. His progressive poetry possesses great appeal to everyone. Ayaz is a poet of love, life and rebellion. Outwardly a Muslim, in reality he is neither Muslim nor a Hindu. He was a great humanitarian. He believed in the transformation of our society on the basis of social equilibrium, religious tolerance, humanism, peaceful co-existence and economic equality. He also became a crusader for peace and brotherhood at international level. Ayaz kept the age-old suffistic and humanistic traditions alive. He spread the message of love and brotherhood among people of all religions. These and some other subjects of his peotry makes him an immortal poet. This research paper attempts to present the ideas of Shaikh Ayaz towards humanism, peace and love through his poetry.
