Yousafzai is one of the most popular Pakhtun which played a significant role throughout the Afghan history. The tribe rendered great sacrifices for the larger interest of the Pakhtuns. The present article is related with the coming of Babur the founder of the Mughal Indian Empire and his relation with the Yousafzai leaders. Analysis would be made to understand different paradigms of Babur-Yousafzi countdown within the framework of the Mughal-Afghan conflict. It would be explored that how the tribal malaks belonged to Yousafzai co-operated with the Mughals in consolidating their position in Kabul. Moreover, it would also be highlighted that under what circumstances the enmity started between them which afterwards took the shape of a full-fledge confrontation
