Abstract
New fossil remains of Pachyportax are described in this paper. The material is collected from a Late Miocene locality of Hasnot, Jhelum, Punjab, Pakistan. The remains are identified on the basis of morphological and metrical characters and assigned to Pachyportax latidens. The boselaphines were present in the Late Miocene of the Siwaliks with other mammalian groups like proboscideans, ruminants and carnivores. The new sample of P. latidens from Hasnot contributes to new knowledge of the species.
