Abstract
Youth is a precious resource of any country and their participation in democratic process is considered very important to strengthen the political system. That is why youth’s voting behaviour is a major concern of most of the democratic countries of the world. The general studied of voting behavior in the electoral politics of Pakistan has been taken by a number of foreign and indigenous scholar with their particular viewpoints without giving empirical observation, except a few. This paper focuses on the relative impact of various social and political factors in determining the voting behavior of youth in general elections of Pakistan held in 2013. Subsequent, understanding of political judgment of educated youth directs us to assess the behavioural nature of the process of democratization in Pakistan.
