Abstract
The philosophy of humanism began as a reaction to the
predominance of religion in Europe during the Middle
Ages. It was no wonder that some free thinkers of those
days thought that religion curtailed the freedom of Man
and neglected his concerns. This philosophy led to the
extreme view that “Man is the measure of all things”;
which is totally opposite with the beliefs and concepts of
Islam. It is fact that Islam does not oppose any human
values, or human rights.This article introduces the
philosophy of humanism and its incompatibility with the
religion’s philosophy, its development organizations and
manifestos approved by Hu
Prof. Dr Azkia Hashimi, Sadia Naz. (2019) Conceptual Study & Development of Humanism, Hazara Islamicus, Volume 8, Issue 2.
